chi_e_cubs_mascot_b1_200x300It’s the first full day of spring. Opening day is only ten days away!

Today’s Cubs Birthdays include a Civil War veteran. That’s right, a Civil War veteran. Also, the greatest Shawon in Cubs history, plus an all-star, and cups of coffee from the 20s, 50s, and 60s.

The A/V club today features Cub’s birthday boy Tommy Davis appearing on the Joey Bishop show in the 60s.

Plus in the latest Cubs news, the Cubs traded Gretzy’s son to LA for Mike Scoscia’s son. Will Mike Olt be the starting third baseman this year? If so, that means Darwin Barney really is the most likely to be traded Cub. And…don’t look now, but here comes Clark.
