Who is that dapper young man with the thin Snidely Whiplash mustache? Why, that's none other than future Hall of Famer Greg Maddux. Why did he shave it off? With the mustache he was 8-18 with an ERA over 5.50. Since he shaved it off, he has won 339 games and struck out more than 3200 batters. It pains us to say this here at mustache headquarters...but it is entirely possible that the mustache was holding him back.
