Look at this baseball card. Do you even see anything other than that mustache? First class. Most men only dream of growing such an impressive lip of hair. That mustache patrolled the outfield for parts of two decades (74-77, 81-83). He was acquired in the trade with the Padres that cost the Cubs fan favorite Glenn Beckert, but Morales and his mustache would have a very respectable Cubs career. He even scored a run in the 1977 All-Star Game.

Morales celebrated his 59th birthday last week.

Comment: Remember the 10th inning show with Jack Brickhouse? Jerry was a guest once back in 75 maybe 76 and I swear Jack asked him what it felt like to be in the majors and Jerry responded..

"Beisbol been berry berry good to me."

This was way before the SNL Chico Esquela bit with Garrett Morris.
