spent the last three seasons of his career with the Cubs, pitching pretty well out of the bullpen in two of those seasons ('83-84), and not so well in the third (6.05 ERA in '85). He tipped the scales at 200 pounds, but easily five of those pounds came from his mustache. The Cubs let him go during spring training of 1986, and he never played in the majors again. This week he turns 56 years old.

KEVIN BLANKENSHIP BONUS MUSTACHE: KEVIN BLANKENSHIP

Blankenship was acquired in the trade that sent fan favorite Jody Davis packing in 1988. He pitched a total of 23 innings over three seasons with the Cubs. He never had the impact of Davis, but Jody couldn't have grown that mustache if he tried. Blankenship was a member of the division winning 1989 Cubs, although he only pitched 5 1/3 innings for them that season. He turns 45 years old this week.
