It`s still unfathomable to me. Everything was in place. Oh sure. I smiled when I heard the White Sox were also eliminated in the first round and later on when the Red Sox were sent home but it didn`t totally satisfy me. I`m still PISSED. Was the pressure of 100 years just too much for these guys? | |

I asked him if he wanted any and his whole face lit up. Apparently he`s over it. I think people who criticize us for being upset just don`t remember why they became fans in the first place. It starts when you`re a boy (or a girl) and because it`s a part of your childhood you can`t do anything about changing allegiances. It`s in your heart. It`s part of who you are. Instead of rooting for the team and hoping we win it--we start embracing the idea that they can`t do it. Think of it like a double dog dare. I use the same technique with my kids: "I bet there is no way you`ll get a good grade on this spelling test. You can`t do it." Works every time. | |

The World Series is played later in the year than back in 1908. The Cubs won it on 10/14/1908 - 95 years before the Bartman Play. So we clinched the 101 year mark! | |
