ANDRE DAWSON

How is this mustache not in the Hall of Fame?

In his legendary career he won the Rookie of the Year award (77), the MVP (87), finished second in MVP voting twice (81 & 83), played in 8 all-star games, hit 438 home runs, had more than 1500 RBI, stole more than 300 bases, won 8 gold-gloves, 4 silver slugger awards, and a home run and RBI title. He is also, without question, the all-time greatest Jheri Curl-ed player in baseball history.

And that doesn't even factor in the mustache we honor today.

Get your act together, sportswriters, and put Andre in the Hall of Fame.

BONUS MUSTACHE: Gary Woods

He was a backup outfielder for the Cubs in the early to mid 80s (82-85), and hit in the .240s during his stay on the North Side, but we salute him here for his very respectable mustache.

He also celebrates a birthday this week. Happy birthday, Gary.
