Mission Statement

Every Friday the JOBC staff scours the internet to bring you Cubs-related video and audio you might not have seen or heard before.

This is a picture of the captain of the Cubs in their early days...Hall of Famer Cap Anson. Anson played before the turn of century...around the time this game was filmed by Thomas Edison. It doesn't involve any Cubs, but it's a good glimpse into what the game looked like back in those days.

VIDEO: The first game of baseball ever filmed.

This is from 1898 and features two amateur teams from Newark, New Jersey.

If you have any Cubs songs you've written or discovered, let us know and we'll feature it on a future episode of "Sights & Sounds." E-mail our editor-in-chief Rick Kaempfer at rick@justonebadcentury.com
